JACOB here and I am a 3 year old Boxer/American Bulldog mix.  I was adopted by a very nice family, but their schedule has changed and they just are not home enough to provide me with the love and care that I need.

So, a little more about me.  I love people, especially kids.  I am very happy and social, I love to play with other dogs but would do best with sturdy ones who understand energetic boxer style interaction.  I am perfectly crate trained and will go inside without any hesitation or accidents. 

Not only am I house trained, but I will even ring the bell on the back door to let you know I need out!  Pretty cool huh?  I walk well on a leash, and I know how to give High Fives with both paws.  I know how to sit on command and have begun responding to "off" because I like to stand for hugs and kisses.  I am not allowed on furniture, but love to drape my front paws across your lap and place my head on your shoulders.  I am a very loving Teddy Bear and I know you would love me too. 

It is very rare for me to bark and I am generally a quiet boy unless playing with dogs.  I have a strong prey drive so please no cats for me!  A home with a fenced yard would be just grand!  That way no one has to worry if I get distracted by passing animals or people and want to go meet them.  Boxers are most definitely 'people' dogs, you know!

I really like to play with toys and have done very well with children I recently met.  We played and had a good time together.  I am a strong boy that is being taught how to walk like a gentleman on lead.  My foster Mom got me a special front loop harness and it works quite well!

People and children make me very happy.  When I am happy, my full tail is a wagging machine.  So just be advised if your children are short, they might accidently be struck in the head or face.  I wouldn't mean any harm!  But I just haven't figured out how to stop that thing from joyfully wagging!  I am a big guy, weighing in at 95 pounds, so smaller children might be intimidated by my size, but I am a big old softie.
