Hello Boxer Lovers - I am Reecie and will be 3 years old on November 30th and my wish "a birthday celebration in myforever home". Come on ya'all, just look at my handsome face, how can you resist.
I've had a hard couple of months, but things are definitely looking up for me these days. When I was found, I had a broken hip, but the nice vet fixed me up and now I am healing nicely. I am still doing exercises to strengthen my hip, but I'll be chasing squirrels again in no time and the best part; I am heartworm negative.
I am a pretty mellow guy, neat and clean around the house, a gentle eater and treat-taker and know a few basic commands. I'm great on the leash and will require little-to-no-training to be a great pet in your house. I like my squeaky toy, but I don't chew shoes or furniture, and I do all my business outside. I like my crate and I have no problem sleeping in the morning until my foster mom is ready to wake up and take me for a walk.
I am a sweet and kind cuddlier, and I am attentive and a just a little protective. On my walks around my foster parents' city neighborhood, I “talk" to strangers very gently before allowing them to say hello, and I'm not too bothered by other dogs. I am great with kids and older folks alike.
My foster parents have had LOTS of fosters, and they tell me I am one of the easiest they have had.
