heartworm positive

This gentle giant was found as a stray in a not so great part of town. An HBR volunteer asked our group to graciously answer the plea to rescue him from misery, and here he is now. Lagos is a big ball of love. He currently resides with big and small dogs, a cat, foster mom and 10yr old human. He loves the big dogs but needed a few days to get comfortable with them. Also, he would do best with large, female dogs as he can be grouchy with the other boys.  Unfortunately, he is not a fan of the small dogs or the cat.
He absolutely loves the smaller human and would probably like one of his own. He would be best with kids 10 and older. Pretty sure he'd be just fine with a big person too as long as they scratch his ears and rub his belly. Lagos is crate and house trained and walks well on lead. Well until he sees a cat or squirrel then wants to chase, but is easily redirected. We can't all be perfect, right? Lagos would love a family of his own and although he is not a Boxer, he is just as beautiful and sweet!
